Abstracts of warrants issued, 1856-1914.

The series contains ledgers maintained by the Comptroller's Office which summarize the information found on the copies of warrants issued from 1856 to 1914. The abstracts of the warrants include the following information: the number of the warrant issued, to whom the warrant was paid, the date the warrant was issued, and the amount of the warrant. The ledgers are arranged by account name, such as salaries of the judicial department, maintenance of lunatics, juror and state witness payments, expenses for the collection of revenue, and rewards for and expenses of the arrest of fugitives from justice.
